The National Day of Prayer is observed annually on the first Thursday in May. This day’s observance was designated by the United States Congress in the 1950s and asks people “to turn to God in prayer and meditation.” Prayer connects us to God and the Church, nurturing our relationships and deepening our faith. Prayer also provides comfort in times of crisis or need and should be an integral part of daily life.
On this National Day of Prayer, we are so grateful to the hundreds of people who have already joined our initiative to pray 50,000 Rosaries this month for those who have fallen away from the Catholic faith. Through a variety of initiatives like this, Word on Fire calls people to prayer that they might grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Please consider making a gift to help us continue evangelization efforts like this.
By participating in Word on Fire’s May Rosary Challenge, you are joining a vast, worldwide community in petitioning the Virgin Mary to lead the Church’s lost sheep back to her son. Send a photo of yourself with your rosary to rosary@wordonfire.org, and we will share it on our social media channels. Join this movement of prayer and visit our website to log your Rosary.
We truly appreciate our donors’ support that allows our ministry to grow. We would like you to know that at Word on Fire, we are keeping you in our prayers. Please keep our ministry in your prayers as well.
God bless you,
The Word on Fire Team
