Glad to see AOC taking the actual libertarian position on this issue as opposed to the SWERFish feminazi position.

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) joined the discussion around a viral New York Post hit piece targeting a New York City medic who started an OnlyFans account. Linking to a Rolling Stone write-up of the story, the congresswoman known as AOC wrote on Twitter, “Sex work is work.”
“The federal gov has done almost nothing to help people in months. We must pass stimulus checks, [unemployment insurance], small biz relief, hospital funding, etc.,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “Keep the focus of shame there, not on marginalizing people surviving a pandemic without help.” (AOC and other congressional progressives are also speaking out about negotiations on COVID-19 relief.)
As Rolling Stone reported, 23-year-old Lauren Kwei was the subject of a New York Post story that sought to shame her for starting an OnlyFans page as supplemental income. The platform has surged in popularity this year, offering a new income stream for many as the combination of the pandemic and lack of meaningful relief created or exacerbated economic hardship.
