🇺🇦🇷🇺 A Russian missile attack has hit a Kyiv children’s hospital, killing 41 civilians across Ukraine. The Monday attack targeted several cities with 38 missiles, 30 of which were intercepted successfully. The hit on the hospital came in broad daylight, suggesting that it was deliberately targeted by Moscow.
🛫🛞 A United Airlines Boeing 757-200 lost a main landing gear wheel during takeoff from Los Angeles on Monday. The flight landed safely in Denver, and nobody was reported injured, with the located tyre returned in Los Angeles.
🇨🇳🚕 Hong Kong plans to regulate Uber. In a city notorious for cruddy taxi services, the government will be licensing e-hailing services and cracking down on penalties for transgressions. Taxi trade complaints include rude service, overcharging and dangerous driving.
🪐🔭 The James Webb Space Telescope has detected hydrogen sulfide on a distant, bizarre planet. Sexily-named HD 189733b, the planet’s blue-tinged surface with molten glass rain is apparently covered in the stench of rotten eggs (from the H2S).
