Russia is a big country. You cannot compare sanctions in Russia and estimate that it will work the same in other small countries. Russia can survive sanctions because of how big it is. They can survive even if they are completely cut off from the rest of the world. They will be able to produce medicines, all the food that they need to survive, even all the electronics that they can, transportation etc. But, the same cannot be said about other countries, they will suffer greatly.
