“Can you say racist things and not be a racist?” Yes. Even more, there are different types of racism and some are worse than others. For instance, it’s not uncommon for non-racist people to make racist statements involving racial stereotypes, because they’re simply unaware they’re being racist. Whereas, some people truly hate other races and say racists things with hateful intentions. Unfortunately, some people treat all forms of racism the same, which is absolutely counterproductive. Yes, address all forms of racism but maybe don’t bring the hammer down when it’s not hateful or intentional.
