VAST MAJORITY Agree Wealthy, Corporations Don’t Pay Fair Share

During times of economic decline and class polarization, the popularity of statism typically increases. That’s generally a worldwide phenomenon.

Team Rising discusses polling by Pew Research that finds Americans are bothered “a lot” by the feeling that some corporations and wealthy people do not pay their fair share in taxes than by the complexity of the tax system or even the amount they pay in taxes.

  1. “wealthy people do not pay their fair share”

I always wonder about the idea “fair share” of taxes. People who use that term don’t seem to define it.
As a lifetime libertarian, known it since 1975, I’d sure like to know how a person’s “fair share of taxes”.
I suggest that virtually everyone who uses that concept isn’t paying their PROPORTIONAL share of taxes, on a per-person basis, or even their taxes as a proportion of total income.

Also, the only reason the Federal Government is as large as it is, today, is that it is stealing from deep pockets. A person who simultaneously objects to ‘big government’s yet wants ‘the rich to pay more is a stunning hypocrite.

Taxation is theft. It’s as simple as that.
