I generally have a more favorable view of the UBI as a happy medium as opposed to minimum wage escalation. The latter will be weaponized by large businesses against small businesses, and cause unemployment for the most unskilled workers. My objective is to defend the interests of the poor and working-class, while avoiding pitting workers against the petite bourgeoisie, or different sectors of workers against each other. I’d also cancel credit card and medical debt, which most libertarians probably wouldn’t like either. Of course, bottom-up tax reductions are a good idea as well.
