While much is made of the political/cultural divisions in the US, recent events have exacerbated the class divisions, and a generational division similar to one that appeared in the 1960s is rising as well.
Styx makes the interesting argument that Biden would likely suffer a John Kerry/Hillary Clinton marginal loss to Trump whereas Sanders would suffer a George McGovern/Walter Mondale landslide loss.
