This has been true not only of ICE detention centers but of the US prison/jail system generally. It is interesting how the media only reports on this stuff selectively, mostly to get some anti-Trump mileage out of it. After Biden is elected, if that happens, there will likely […]

Tactics like this were used during the 1960s protests as well. For instance, Richard Daley’s Chicago PD did this kind of thing during the battle at the 1968 Democratic Convention. There was no DHS back then but the FBI would work in collusion with local and state police, […]
No matter how stupid the Left gets, the Right usually never fails to one-up them. The Know-Nothings are alive and well.
Essentially, we have a four-way fight on our hands. One against the state/ruling class/power elite. One against the far-right, and one against the far-left. A serious fourth position would involve drawing from the lumpenproletariat, the 46% percent, the radical center, the exhausted minority, disaffected reds and blues, and […]

An unfortunate tendency of many people who become discouraged with the left is to follow the neocon trajectory and become Republicans rather than doing what I did, which was to become even more radical.

Trump’s Iran policy has been the worst aspect of his administration, along with his support for ongoing Israeli expansionism and the Saudi war in Yemen. The Lincoln Project is merely a means through which the neocons and their closest allies, warmed-over Bush Republicans, are colonizing the Democratic Party, the same way a commie cult might try to colonize an antiwar or environmental group. One thing about Trump that I have never seen any commentator point out is that while Trump is a billionaire, he does not originate from the traditional Anglo-Saxon American elite.
