TELL THE U.S. SENATE: Trump is sending in his far-right border czar Tom Homan to lead ICE’s violent siege on Minnesota. After ICE and Border Patrol’s warrantless arrests, violent raids, and two murders in Minneapolis, the Senate must take a stand this week and reject funding for Trump’s authoritarian security forces. Sign the petition: Block funding for ICE and Border Patrol!
Trump is sending in far-right border czar Tom Homan to lead the violent, completely out of control federal siege on the people on Minneapolis.1
As one of the architects of Trump’s law-breaking mass deportations, Homan has called on ICE agents to “flood the zone” in sanctuary cities.2 He brushed off public concerns about the record numbers of deaths in ICE custody and endorsed racially-motivated arrest dragnets.3,4 No matter who the Trump administration puts in charge, the message is clear: terrorize communities and hit arrest quotas, regardless of the law.
ICE and Border Patrol (CBP) killed two people in Minneapolis and continue to execute brutal federal invasions in cities across the country. The Senate must take a stand and reject new funding for ICE and Border Patrol in a vote scheduled for THIS WEEK.
A Border Patrol agent murdered Alex Pretti last week in Minneapolis, and ICE killed Renee Good just two weeks earlier. Trump’s far-right security forces are unleashing shocking levels of violence against people in Minneapolis, and across the country.5
When 7 House Democrats voted to hand over even more money to ICE last week, the public and their constituents were outraged.6 We must now demand that our Senators vote NO on the DHS funding bill.
Sign the petition: No funding for ICE and CBP!
