Landmines head to Ukraine

Wednesday, 20 November 2024

“If you’re too methodical, too fearful, you’re not going to win. But the clever thing is to make the calculation correctly about where and when to go over the top. You’ve got to know when to push it and when to come back.”

WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING

🇺🇸🇺🇦 President Joe Biden has approved the export of anti-personnel landmines to Ukraine. Ukraine has committed to not using them in areas populated with civilians. A strictly defensive weapon, Biden seems determined to frontload help to Ukraine before the other guy takes office.

🚀❤️ SpaceX performed the sixth test of its Super Heavy starship rocket on Tuesday, with Trump watching. No word yet on whether the incoming POTUS was sitting next to Elon Musk, or in his lap.
🇭🇹⚕️Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) is halting its operations in Haiti’s capital Port-au-Prince and surrounds from today. Ongoing violence and police threats to MSF staff were the primary factors.
