Dodcast #64: Troy Southgate & Adam Ormes

In a quiet(-ish) cafe in Porto, just before the recent Commonwealth of Free Spirits Conference that took place in that fine city, Adam Ormes and I sat down to talk with writer, musician and activist Troy Southgate about his life and political work. Troy is a nuanced and original thinker whose ideas challenge established notions held across the left/right political spectrum; his opposition to authoritarianism, colonialism and militarism would fit most comfortably within the old-school anti-war left, and yet his support for ethnic self-determination for all peoples has led many on the left to dismiss and attack his work. Troy sets the record straight in his first recorded interview.
