Netflix will roll out the red carpet on Saturday as it streams the Screen Actors Guild Awards for the first time ever. And Hollywood is waiting with bated breath to see if the move will actually work.
Producers have promised to upend a format that really hasn’t changed that much in the past few decades by breaking the fourth wall and taking viewers backstage during the two-hour show.
It’s a huge opportunity for the 30th annual SAG Awards, which aired on TBS and TNT to sinking ratings before airing on Netflix’s YouTube channel and social media accounts last year to just 1.5 million total viewers in the first 12 hours. With the awards now airing on Netflix, the possibilities for broadening the show’s reach are limitless. And if it works, other shows in Tinsel Town will certainly follow.
If Netflix can pull it off — we haven’t forgotten about the botched “Love Is Blind” live reunion — it’ll be a win for Hollywood and the streamers.

The case for all-inclusive resorts
For some travelers, all-inclusive stays are a turn-off. Some view them as an ineffective way to truly experience a new place — why go out and explore when you have all you need on-site?
Thatch Caye, one such resort off the coast of Belize, challenges these stereotypes. The small, private-island resort caps occupancy at 30 guests and offers communal dinners, creating a more personal environment that’ll even have skeptics swooning.

Wouldn’t flying be better if you got a spa treatment and a full meal beforehand? That’s the idea behind Chase’s Sapphire Lounge, which just opened a new location in New York City’s LaGuardia Airport.
The lounge feels more like an upscale hotel, and offers things like an arcade, a coworking space, and complimentary facials for weary travelers. It’s the kind of place you’d want to spend time in — even if you didn’t have a flight to catch.
For those looking to start fresh in a new city, quality of life — think affordability, residents’ overall happiness, and healthcare — is one of the biggest determining factors.
A new list from the US News & World Report ranks cities based on their livability. Many of the cities that made the list offer access to the outdoors, like Fort Collins, Colorado, and Boise, Idaho. Others, like Madison, Wisconsin, offer a burgeoning food scene.
