They still believe Russiagate?

By Tom Woods

For anyone who somehow didn’t realize it already, the recently released Durham Report, which I’ve discussed on the Tom Woods Show, made clear beyond doubt that the Russiagate nonsense had been a hoax from the start.

And yet, when Rasmusssen polled Democrats even now, they found that an extraordinary 43% of them believed it was “likely” that the Trump campaign colluded with Russian agents during the 2016 campaign, with 26% calling it “very likely.”

Together, two thirds of respondents agreed that it was at least “somewhat likely.”

Interestingly, though, once the findings of the Durham Report were summarized in one sentence to those polled, even 44% of voters who considered the possibility “very likely” favored prosecution of the FBI officials involved.

So if we lived in a normal society with normal people reporting the news, things could look quite different.

Although in such a society the Russiagate foolishness would never have taken hold in the first place.

Now on this leisurely Memorial Day, a quick update on what you really want to know: how my study of Italian is going.

(Warning: if the life of ol’ Woods does not interest you, feel free to move along.)

When I’m not in a position to listen or speak (so if I’m standing in line somewhere, etc.) I use the Speakly app to build my vocabulary. It’s much better than Duolingo, in my opinion.

But when I can listen, I use Rocket Languages, because I like the combination of listening to conversations (hello, Maria and Alessandro!) plus having a systematic grammar study.

The nice thing about it is: you don’t have to look at any of the grammar material if you don’t want to. You can learn entirely from the conversations.

But because I hated the stupid French class I took at Columbia, where I was taught no grammar at all and they just barked French words at me (this was the fashionable thing at the time), I use Rocket Languages because it gives me the option to do both.

I used it to brush up on my Spanish before spending a week in Spain in February, and it really did wonders for me. (It will also help for when my family and I take my 80-year-old high school Spanish teacher out to lunch when we’re in Boston next week.)

So if you’re interested in learning a language, my experience is that Rocket Languages has the most balanced approach.

And wouldn’t you know it — for Memorial Day they’re taking 60% off (but just the next 38 courses they sell).

So pick one up and learn along with me:
