This is a very important segment, an interesting illustration of how “trickle-down” propaganda systems work according to the model of “manufacturing consent” described by Noam Chomsky or the “culture industry” described by Max Horkheimer, and which was pioneered by figures like Edward Bernays.
It’s also an interesting example of how the ideological superstructure of the ruling class (Marx) is inculcated through institutions that function as disseminators of the dominant cultural “values” framework (see William Domhoff) that upholds the legitimacy of whatever ruling class exists at the time.
