In Virginia, Democrats are acting like we just had a March on Rome, and Republicans are acting like the Berlin Wall just fell. Youngkin is a moderate Republican “pro-business” type whose only real issue is taxes. He’s light years away from being a right-wing populist or far-right. Youngkin even has middle-of-the-road positions on key Republican virtual signaling issues like abortion and guns. The Democrats also suffered from the “8-year curse” of having won the last two elections.
