From a discussion on Reddit. My colleagues might disagree with me and call me too reformist however I do think it is in the best interest of anarchists to support and vote for Sanders if they want improvement for the oppressed instead of romanticize about abstract ideals such […]
This blogger from The Divided Line explains why. I generally agree with what is being said here. Although I think the Left’s concept of “repressive tolerance” clearly has its roots in Marcuse, it’s overly simplistic to explain totalitarian humanism merely as an inversion of Marxism. At around 50:00, […]
It’s interesting to compare this critique of the Left with this article on the alleged fascist threat by David Neiwert. By Paul Gottfried Unz.Org A recent incident in Wallingford, Connecticut, not far from where I grew up, caused VDARE.com Editor Peter Brimelow to comment: “Cultural Marxist totalitarianism is […]
By Danilo Cuellar This was an impromptu recording. I started recording when I realized how valuable this conversation was going to be.
This article is a pretty good dissection of Trump’s actual politics, and debunks the “Trump is a fascist” hysteria coming from the Left. This piece is more or less in line with my own assessment of Trump’s politics, with the exception that I think Trump is less inclined […]
This is funny considering it’s coming from George W. Bush’s former speechwriter. By Michael Gerson Washington Post Every Republican of the type concerned with winning in November has been asking the question (at least internally): “What if the worst happens?” The worst does not mean the nomination of […]
By Paul Gottfried LewRockwell.Com Although I have frequently accused Jonah Goldberg of being an intellectual vulgarian, his latest column “The Term Neocon Has Run Its Course” has convinced me that he also lives on a different planet. On this celestial body, “neocons weren’t any more hawkish than anyone […]
Why Donald Trump is just another lame-ass politician, not a “fascist.” By Max Ehrenfreund Washington Post (Rachel Orr/The Washington Post) “Fascist” is often used as a cheap, meaningless insult in U.S. politics. But recently, it’s become a serious charge that elected officials, political operatives and pundits on both […]
I often have to wonder which is the bigger joke: the anarcho-leftoids or the establishment libertarians, or is it a tie? Invictus 2020. By Jeb Lund The Guardian In an exclusive interview with Reason on Wednesday, former New Mexico governor and former Republican Gary Johnson announced that […]
Leftist-antifascist “anarchist” Spencer Sunshine, a writer for the Ford Foundation-funded Political Research Associates (led by one-time Hoxhaist Chip Berlet), explains whey “them poor old feds need all the help they can get.” See here. “There’s fascists in them there hills!” A more reasonable take on the Oregon stand […]
Justin Raimondo puts the Oregon stand off in context. By Justin Raimondo Antiwar.Com As our old republic fades into history, replaced by a voracious global Empire, the division between foreign policy and domestic policy is erased. A conquistador treats his helots on the home front with the same […]
Here are the three money quotes from this article that are most relevant to the ARV-ATS philosophy. “The alt right’s real objective, if one can be identified, is to challenge and dismantle mainstream conservatism.” And: “If I had to take a political position, I’d say that I’m pro-secession,” […]
Many commentators, including myself, have speculated in the past that the GOP may be on its last legs due the fact that its only reliable constituency (older WASPs) are shrinking demographically and dying off. Various options have also been suggested as means for the Republicans to save themselves. […]
Thomas Sowell is a writer whose work ranges from the brilliant to the asinine. I would highly recommend much of Sowell’s academic work, but his syndicated columns are often nothing more than neocon talking points (he obviously knows who butters his toast). Here, Sowell wrings his hands over […]
Given that Donald Trump has provoked so much “fascism hysteria,” for lack of a better, this comment from a Facebook friend, Warren Balogh, helps puts things in a little more perspective. Says Warren: “People, are you paying attention to this?! When was the last time a frontrunner presidential […]
This looks to be an interesting book. In the past I have attempted to outline fairly meticulously calculated strategies concerning how to go about forming a constituency or coalition for the pan-anarchist, pan-secessionist, and pan-decentralist ideas we promote at ATS. However, given the growing fractiousness of US politics […]
An interesting article by James Kirkpatrick on the divisions that Trump is causing in the Republican Party. From a strategic perspective, I consider the destruction of the Republican Party as a competitive force in U.S. politics to be the most important objective at the present time. The GOP […]
This headline is a bit goofy and misleading, but I actually cover a lot of important ground in the audio interview. Press TV. Listen here: http://presstv.ir/Detail/2015/12/29/443626/us-police-brutality-black-lives-matter-gun-violence-racial-inequality/ Police brutality in the United States is not necessarily about “homicide” committed by American cops or even “racial disparity” but has deeper […]
This is an interesting debate between leftist anti-racist Tim Wise and race-realist/white nationalist Jared Taylor. This discussion covers most of the standard issues and arguments involved in these kinds of debates. I would suggest that these questions are largely irrelevant to the question of anarchist political theory generally, […]
This is a really shabbily written article on the “alternative right” from The Weekly Standard. But if the alternative right is getting a mention in one of the neocons’ in-house journals, it must be really growing in influence. I’ve heard the alternative right actually got a mention on […]
From an article on “Anti-Fascist News” called “Why We Fight: What is the Real Threat of Fascist Organizing?” It sounds like they almost get it. “The far right has staked much of its claims to the left’s demise on things like political correctness, personal anecdotes of bigotry disconnected […]
An interesting piece from a liberal “race realist” who argues that many of the conventional claims of race realists would justify liberal social policies. By Anatoly Carlin This may be the article I’ve hesitated longest over publishing. Its subject matter has always hovered as a specter over my […]
This is an interesting discussion of Carol Swain’s book on white nationalism from Patheos. See here. Carol Swain is a black law professor at Vanderbilt whose book is the best book I know of on white nationalism from a non-white nationalist perspective (and possibly the best book on […]
This is why serious radicals need to attack the system on its left flank rather than its right flank. The Left is a rising force, the Right is a dying force. Why waste time on an enemy that’s on it’s deathbed? By Sean Illing Salon.Com (Credit: Reuters/Joshua Lott) […]
This article’s analysis is consistency with what I have long been saying about the trajectory the New Left has followed. In the post-Vietnam War period, the New Left abandoned whatever radical inclinations it ever had, and gradually became incorporated into the apparatus of the Democratic Party and traditional […]
As virtually everyone knows, I am a radical pan-anarchist that favors breaking up the global corporatocracy and the nation-states that are its component parts into autonomous regions, federations, cities, communes, and local communities. As an anarchist, I don’t much care for government of any kind, but I prefer […]
David Brin raises what I think are some of the better criticisms of the neo-reactionary philosophy. I appreciate the neo-reactionaries. Mass democracy and “democratic equality” are the state religions of modern liberal-capitalist regimes, and the core component of their self-legitimating ideological superstructure. When folks ranging from the neocons […]
By Doug Ahler and David Broockman Washington Post Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, speaking at a Dec. 12 town hall meeting in the Convocation Center on the University of South Carolina. (Richard Shiro/AP) Donald Trump is one of the most extreme presidential candidates to gain widespread support in […]
Islam, immigration, and interventionism. I’ll be incorporating a response to the Ann-xieties expressed here (and elsewhere) into a future Infernal episode. There’s a lot of raspberrying and dismissiveness in the debate over whether to let the wave of “Syrian” “refugees” wash up on U.S. shores. In the partisan […]
A commenter at AnarchistNews.Org offered this response to my latest exchange with Anti-Fascist News: I read it. I read through other things on that site. Yikes. It’s really bizarre that a large portion of Preston’s criticism of “left” anarchists (anarchists) is that they have a kind of selective […]

The Princess of Pessimism, Ann Sterzinger, on labour and…er, labour. 1,950 words A few months back, publisher Chip Smith asked me to write a new intro for the upcoming second edition of my 2011 novel NVSQVAM. To write the essay I had to rethink my protagonist, Lester Reichartsen, […]

Atlantic article from January. Thoughtful overview of Dar al-Islam in the land of the Gauls. Also, rather refreshing to see a mainstreamer who can tell the fucking difference between liberty and democracy! The impressive and inspiring show of solidarity at France’s unity march on January 11—which brought together […]
A reply to “Anti-Fascist News“: An uninformed lay person reading the pathetically ignorant and barely literate bromide against Attack the System recently issued by “Anti-Fascist News” would hardly know anarchism is a vast tradition in modern political philosophy with roots in the radical Enlightenment more than two centuries […]
I tell you, this Keith Preston guy is bad ass, whoever he is. Says professional “anti-fascist” Mike Issacson: “Another NPI speaker Keith Preston, also ends up largely in the same place as Faye and the others, but in his own fake anarchist way. For Preston, the end result […]
The irreconcilable political narratives of the Blue and Red tribes continue to clash on university campuses. The Minnesota Republic On Tuesday, November 10, the Minnesota Student Association (MSA)–the undergraduate student government at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (UMN)– rejected a resolution for a moment of recognition on future […]
A Social Justice Warrior makes her case. Theoretically, one could be a full and committed Social Justice Warrior and simultaneously be a pan-anarchist or tactical pan-secessionist, as I have previously articulated elsewhere. However, as we know, it usually doesn’t work that way. Yet an interesting development that I […]
Ironically, Wolff, Rothbard, and Friedman were all major influences in the development of my own thinking. By David Friedman I spent the past two days attending a conference at Duke University. One of the other participants was Robert Wolff, who published his In Defense of Anarchism a year […]
Like many fringe political movements, the neo-reactionaries are better at criticizing the established order and their ideological opponents than they are at offering any reasonable alternatives of their own. By David Brin Contrary Brin See Scott Alexander’s critique of the neo-reactionary movement here. Let me clip just one […]
By Jonathan Chait New York Magazine The student protest at the University of Missouri began as a response to a serious problem — outbursts of vile racism on campus — and quickly devolved into an expression of a renewed left-wing hostility to freedom of expression. At the protest […]
By David S. D’Amato Libertarianism.Org An emphasis on decentralization unites radicals on left and right in American politics, while moderates support central power. As I have attempted to show in the previous two installments, decentralism defies the popular conceptions of both the political right and left. The right […]
A raunchily revisionist review by Ann Sterzinger. Sheds more light on the Conflict Without Heroes that was World War II. __________________ Is present-day Paris more puritanical than it was under the Nazis? I’d love to simply dwell on the jaunty visual attractiveness—not to mention the entertainment and historical […]
In this episode of teleSUR’s The Empire Files, Abby Martin interviews world-renowned philosopher and linguist Professor Noam Chomsky. Prof. Chomsky comments on the presidential primary “extravaganza,” the movement for Bernie Sanders, the U.S.-Iran nuclear deal, the bombing of the Doctors Without Borders hospital in Kunduz, Afghanistan, modern-day libertarianism […]

What Noam says about Sanders is what I always said about Ron Paul: “Suppose that Sanders won, which is pretty unlikely in a system of bought elections. He would be alone: he doesn’t have congressional representatives, he doesn’t have governors, he doesn’t have support in the bureaucracy, he […]
A discussion with Ian Mayes, Nexus X Humectress, and Keith Preston about how social justice activism has led anarchist movements astray and lots of other stuff. Topics include: Anarcho-pacifism Intentional communities Beyond Social Justice: how historical opposition to valid injustices has now evolved into something absurd. How totalitarian […]
An unapologetically Nietzschean take on the refugee crisis. By Dr. Robert M. Price Thus Spake Zarathustra I have read two books that turned out to be truly prophetic. Not clairvoyant, mind you, just prescient. The authors were like Isaac Asimov’s futurologist Hari Seldon in his Foundation epic: they […]
By Aleksey Bashtavenko “There is no progress in human history. Democracy is a fraud. Human nature is primitive, emotional, unyielding.
