MEET THE AUTHOR
WITH more than a quarter of a century spent in the field of education, Eduard Alcántara is a Spanish-Catalan school teacher who has as his main vocation the study of metaphysics and, on a more contingent level, history. This has encouraged him to produce works that are centred around these areas of study and others related to them. His logical preferences have led him to identify with Traditionalism in the way that authors such as René Guénon, Frithjof Schuon and Titus Burckhardt understood this current of thought, but with special focus on the Italian philosopher, Julius Evola, whose exposition of the ‘way of action’ (both internal and external) relates to the more practical interpretation of what Tradition represents. The author of the present work has, therefore, dedicated himself to the extensive study of the trans-Alpine thinker and to the production of articles and essays that not only deal with Evola directly but apply to the situation in which we find ourselves today. This task has been achieved by staging conferences and both his printed work and that which is available in digital form can be found online at http://septentrionis.wordpress.com. In addition, Eduard has previously been translated into various languages such as English, Portuguese and French, and published outside Spain in places as far afield as Italy, France, Portugal, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador and Mexico.
