How Idiots and Opportunists Define Islam

THOSE who believe that the Prophet Muhammad’s first Caliph was his father-in-law, Abu Bakr, are known as Sunni Muslims; those who insist that Muhammad’s son-in-law and cousin, Ali ibn Abi Talib, was his first caliph, are known as Shi’a Muslims; whilst those who ignore these distinctions or tend to leave their thinking to others have decided that the true interpretation of Islam is represented by Islamic State and its multitude of deranged followers.

The reality behind this type of black and white thinking, of course, is that the majority of people arriving at this conclusion live in the West and know very little about the theocratic divisions within Islam itself. How ironic, therefore, for those with a specific political agenda to accept – at face value – that terrorists are what they say they are. These are the same people, mark you, who hurriedly distance themselves from those forms of terrorism committed in the name of fascism and neo-nazism.

It is interesting to note that the definition of selective hearing is characterised as “the action in which people focus their attention on a specific source of sound or spoken word”. Rather like believing everything the Zionist media tells you, don’t you think?
