Anti-Imperialism/Foreign Policy

Invisible

HEAVING and sweating like bloated pigs,

Life’s filthy bandages provide scant insulation

From the torrid tumult and troubles of this world;

She has nothing and receives nothing in return,

Just long years of insufferable solitude:

Her loneliness swathed by a passing crowd.
