Whatever one’s views on abortion, the repeal of Roe v. Wade will almost certainly help the pan-secessionist strategic paradigm. The culture war will escalate. Liberals will be less inclined to think of the feds as protectors of civil rights against local reactionaries. 80% of the US public are pro-choice or “abortion moderates.” The hardline pro-life position is less than 1 in 5. Repealing Roe will be unpopular. But it will delegitimize the federal government and increase fragmentation. A net win.
