Not a Biden fan but it’s clear that the incident in Ukraine has been a gift for polling. It has helped distract from domestic issues and other issues like the clusterfuck in Afghanistan and he has managed to walk a fine line between giving support to besieged Ukrainians and appeasing some non-interventionists by making it clear he’s doing things in a way to not draw the US and Russia into direct conflict. Just handling this situation in a semi-competent manner has helped him immensely.
