So how do six blocks become 600 blocks and then 600 cities? That is the question. By Rachel Floyd Daily Mail Around 300 protesters marched inside the lobby at around 9p.m. Tuesday, carrying Black Lives Matter banners and chanting ‘Durkan must go!’ The group was led by Seattle […]
Two, three, many Seattles. By Al Janavel Q13FOX SEATTLE – Protesters took over streets in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood now that Seattle Police has abandoned its East Precinct.
Kshama Sawant is a Trotskyist, but I have no problem with her leading the “revolution” in Seattle. As far I’m concerned, Seattle can be a commie city-state if that’s what people there want to do, just like Portland or Eugene can be an Antifa city-state. And Tyler, Texas […]
The regimes in the former Soviet Union and its Eastern European satellites were toppled only when large numbers of rank and file military and police turned on their backs on the state. That is what has to happen in the US as well for the revolution to be […]
It does not matter one iota what George Floyd’s criminal record is. Terms like “guilt,” “innocence,” “crime,” “law,” “justice,” etc. are System terms, not ours. One of the things we need to take from them is a monopoly on the definition of these terms. The fight against the […]
This kind of stuff may be a psychological victory for some people, but at the cost of alienating rural southern whites and Italian-Americans, many of whom have had plenty of run-ins with cops or the state. Think strategically, folks. Pushing inter-tribal warfare is a bad idea. If people […]
Virtually everything that is wrong with “liberal” or “progressive” thinking, and the thinking of many others further to the left, is summed up in a single headline. By Madeline Osburn The Federalist For the first time in history, half of the senior leaders of the National Security Council […]
Once again, the pathetically limited nature of “liberal” thinking is revealed. What matters is not the names of military bases. What matters is the dissolution of the military-industrial complex, national security state, and imperialist empire for which it is the enforcer arm. Liberals typically think all of that […]
I would even oppose torching the “thin blue line” flag, although I’m fine with torching actual police stations (enemy military bases). The eventual success of the revolution would depend in part on the defection or desertion of significant numbers of police. By Maurice Chammah and Cary Aspinwall The […]
There is a statue of Lenin in Seattle, which I have no problem with, although it’s probably offensive to Russian-Americans, Eastern European-Americans, not to mention Asian-Americans and Latinos who have lived under Communist tyrannies or experienced Communist terrorism. By Jordan Brasher and Derek H. Alderman The Conversation Where […]
Who cares about this fraud’s opinion? Remember his smoke and mirrors show at the UN before the invasion of Iraq? He was a neocon stooge then and he’s a neocon stooge now.
Now we’re talking. Kudos to Kyle for this one.
Kyle comes close to getting it in this. He’s not nearly where I am but he’s moving along.
The Jacobin boys perform pretty well in this. About the only thing they would need to say to make me agree with them 100% is to call for the abolition of the federal government and the military-industrial complex (“Defund the CIA! Defend the Pentagon!”). I’m with them having […]
Joel Kotkin is one of the very best class theorists out there today. Kotkin’s analysis of the techno-oligarch/new clerisy alliance within a framework of metaphorical “neo-feudal” class relations is the natural update of James Burnham’s managerial revolution theory. Add to that Paul Fussell’s analysis of the traditional class […]
Duh? Wait until another month has passed since the protests/uprising and check the COVID-19 statistics. We might not have to wait until the October flu season for the second wave of the epidemic. Krystal and Saagar give an update on coronavirus case numbers and discuss a spike […]
Trump: “I’m such an asshole I can’t even get along with the Murdoch mouthpieces at FOX.” Co-Chair of Women for Trump Pam Bondi shares how Trump’s jobs programs will help his case for re-election despite his use of military reinforcements and pepper bombs on George Floyd protesters.
The main problem I have with Black Lives Matter is the name sounds overly gushy and sentimental. I much prefer names like Black Panthers or Black Liberation Army. Krystal and Saagar discuss a report from the New York Times that shows how fast public opinion has changed in […]
Does anyone even remember who this slob is at this point? Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke to reporters about George Floyd’s death and attacks on reporters by police amid protests.
Maybe so, maybe not. But it’s certainly clear that Marco Rubio is a stupid idea. Sen. Marco Rubio spoke on the Senate floor about the ongoing nationwide protests for George Floyd on Tuesday.
Speculation: George had some kind of goods on Chauvin. A lot of “nightclubs” are money laundering and drug moving fronts (not that I’m necessarily criticizing that). Krystal and Saagar discuss new developments that reveal a history of friction between George Floyd and former officer Derek Chauvin.
The SJW high priest and the neocon high priest clash. Total WWE. Saager’s point in this is good. Krystal and Saagar react to an explosive segment on Hannity between Cornel West and Leo Terrell over defunding the police.
I certainly hope so. Mitch McConnell’s greatest crime is that he’s a boring old fart. Some of these other characters (Trump, Biden, Pelosi, etc) at least have the redeeming value of being entertaining. Krystal Ball explains how progressive Rep. Charles Booker has emerged as a leader in the […]
A form of union-busting I can get behind. If only Ted Bundy had been a cop, he would have had the police unions behind him. “I am immediately withdrawing from the contract negotiations with the Minneapolis Police Federation.”
“Public health officials” are merely the white coast priesthood in service of the ideological superstructure of the state and the ruling class (scientism, therapeutism, wokeness, etc., etc., etc). Saagar Enjeti blasts establishment figures for their back and forth messaging on coronavirus outbreaks after George Floyd protests sweeped the […]
If I were a Democratic Party strategist, I wouldn’t let Biden near a microphone. If I were a Republican Party strategist, I would secretly push Jack Dorsey to cancel Trump’s Twitter account. Krystal and Saagar discuss why Biden advisors are in favor of the ‘Biden in the basement’ […]
Rarely have I seen an illustration of what is wrong with “woke” culture that is more pertinent than this. Not only is Baroness Jane from an elite Hollywood family (the modern American equivalent of the aristocracy) but she has been a political lightning rod for 50 years (I […]
I strongly suspect that this 1918/1929 reboot will continue for quite some time. Particularly since a lot of folks haven’t exactly been social distancing lately. And while insurrections can certainly achieve positive things, immediate economic growth and restoration of consumer confidence aren’t really among. By Chris Arnold NPR […]
I have long believed that the US ruling class has a “Flight 93” plan where, if all else fails, they will simply foment a multi-faction civil war pitting as many ethnic, religious, political, and cultural groups against each other as possible. Think of Lebanon in the early 1980s, […]
I couldn’t care less if the Crispus Attucks of the present uprising was a crack/coke/meth head, a career criminal, or a total scumbag. In fact, I think it’s hilarious. I don’t care if Derek Chauvin had 100 good citizen awards. That’s not the point. I’ve always said that […]
The main disagreement I have with old guard anarcho-syndicalists is their class reductionism, workerism, and economism. The main disagreement I have with modern left-anarchists is their Plato’s forms version of totalitarian humanism. Clearly, race reductionism is just as invalid as class reductionism. Cop reductionism doesn’t seem to work […]
It’s not surprising this would happen in North Carolina. Footwashing is considered to be a sacrament (like Baptism or Eucharist) in some really, really low rent Protestant denominations (whose members are almost always poor whites or poor blacks). But it is interesting to see a practice that is […]
The only kind of “police reform” I’m interested in is the kind that involves fewer laws, fewer arrests, fewer prosecutions, and fewer incarcerations. And it’s not just about “bad apples,” either. A lot of the supposed “good apples” (the ones who are in technical compliance with the “law”) […]
By Dr. Hawzhin Azeez In the last week, we have seen another horrific case of police brutality emerge in the United States with the senseless murder of George Floyd. Following inadequate police response public outrage ensued as the four police officers responsible were only ‘fired’ without further consequence. […]
By the Libertarian Heathen We cannot stop at Confederate Monuments like the one Commissar Lenny Curry removed in Jacksonville! We need to demolish the Pyramids. They were built by slaves. Hebrew slaves too, so they also represent anti-semitism. They fed slaves to lions in the coliseum in Rome. […]
What I find most interesting about mainstream media coverage of the uprising is the constant focus on either race/ethnicity or left/right extremist groups. And I’ve seen just as much of this is the fringe media as well, which leads me to think I was probably correct to suspect […]
This image more or less tells the story of my life, although instead of saying, “Excuse me” I’ve just as often said, “Get the fuck out of my way.”
By Troy Southgate How interesting that British tea giants PG Tips and Tetleys have come out in support of Black Lives Matter. Although these capitalist parasites will be hoping to sell more teabags as a result of uttering a few politically correct platitudes, I suppose they’ve forgotten how […]
By Troy Southgate When are all these Americanised Europeans going to realise that removing a few statues, changing the signs on the bathroom door, jailing neo-nazi fantastists for making jokes about immigrants, dragging a few disabled people up the side of Mount Everest or giving the Mayor of […]
It wouldn’t personally bother me if we had schools named after serial killers like Ted Bundy or Jeffrey Dahmer, or famous gangsters like Al Capone or John Dillinger. In fact, I’d likely be in favor of it. But I understand the psychological and ideological reasons for this kind […]
The police aren’t going to be defunded so it’s something of a moot issue. But it would not necessarily be a step upward if the police were replaced merely with private mercenaries, armies of social workers, ordinary criminals, or left/right ideologically/racially-driven vigilantes. I view pan-anarchism/pan-secessionism as a means […]
By Helen Buyniski Russia Today As the massive anti-police-brutality protests sweeping the US are diverted into calls to “defund the police” and to replace them with community-based enforcers, Americans would be wise to keep an eye on “who benefits.” There’s no question US police departments have become too […]
I seriously doubt it is only anarchists or Antifa who are involved in this even in a deep blue zone like Seattle. The uprisings over the past couple of weeks are too massive to be driven by “extremist” groups of any kind. I’ve been observing movements like that […]
