| Dear All,
Below is a selection of our most recent articles. As ever, they range widely across politics, economics, philosophy, foreign policy, technology, and the arts. Our intention is to continue in 2026 as we did throughout 2025: publishing one substantial and original article every day, written by a diverse group of contributors and independent of any party or institutional line.
A brief word on funding.
We have so far made less use of Twitter than we might have done. This has been partly a matter of priorities, and partly because the platform’s character limits are ill-suited to the kind of long-form argument we publish. Recent developments, however, make it increasingly important that we maintain a visible presence there.
We would like to operate a verified account. This currently costs £9.33 per month. It is not a large sum, and—as is usually the case—we could meet it ourselves. Nevertheless, since our work is sustained entirely by voluntary support, and since we receive no corporate, governmental, or quasi-governmental funding, we thought it reasonable to ask.
If you are willing and able to make a contribution, however small, donations can be made here:

All contributions are used solely to maintain the website and to support our volunteer contributors.
With best wishes for the year ahead,
