Every day, reporters on the ground in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria risk their lives to bring you stories you won’t see anywhere else.
| May 29 |
As Israel escalates its genocidal assault on Palestinians, most media outlets are rolling back their coverage. Drop Site is doing the opposite—we’re expanding ours, bringing you reporting from journalists on the ground with a level of nuance you won’t find anywhere else.
But we can only maintain this stance with your direct financial support. Currently, only 3% of our readers have become paid subscribers. That’s not sustainable for the kind of in-depth, dangerous reporting that’s breaking news and influencing policy at the highest levels.
Unlike traditional media outlets backed by corporate interests, we are 100% reader-funded. We answer only to you—not to advertisers, not to government influence, and not to corporate pressure. Your subscription is what keeps us going. For a limited time, we’re offering 20% off annual subscriptions.

Our Impact Speaks for Itself
As “ceasefire” negotiations continue, we are consistently breaking the news before mainstream outlets. Just today, we had an exclusive report of a new proposal for a Gaza ceasefire includes a 60-day initial truce, a “redeployment” of some Israeli occupation forces, and an exchange of captives, including ten living Israelis held in Gaza. It would also require the “immediate” delivery of humanitarian aid, including by the United Nations and the Red Crescent. Drop Site published a copy of the document, labelled a “term sheet” by Steve Witkoff. People in power are reading Drop Site to stay informed.
We broke the story that Steve Witkoff promised Hamas the U.S. would compel Israel to lift its siege two days after it freed Edan Alexander—a promise the U.S. has still not kept. Days later, the Washington Post finally caught up to our original reporting.
Earlier this month, President Trump announced a halt to U.S. bombing of Yemen, citing a Houthi offer that Drop Site first reported. Multiple sources inside the administration tell us our reporting circulates throughout the White House.
As we speak, critical events are unfolding that demand Drop Site’s coverage:
- The Gaza Health Ministry just released comprehensive figures: 16,503 children confirmed killed by Israeli forces. These are only the confirmed deaths—as the word views images of Israel actively burning children alive while the U.S. remains complicit.
- Israeli forces recently attempted to assassinate journalist Osama Al-Arabid. He survived, but the strike killed 9 members of his family. The targeted assault on Palestinian journalists continues.
- Israel is actively weaponizing humanitarian aid itself. After intentionally starving Palestinians for three months, Israel launched the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation—a cutout with ties to Israeli and U.S. intelligence—turning food delivery into “death traps.”
- In just 48 hours, at least 17 Palestinians were killed and more than 60 injured while trying to access food. Israeli forces opened fire at aid distribution sites in Rafah, killing 3 civilians, injuring 46, and leaving 7 missing. Gaza’s Media Office called these incidents “full-fledged war crimes.”
- After more than 80 days of total blockade, Israel opened just two aid sites in southern Gaza, forcing starving Palestinians to march long distances—only to face Israeli gunfire when they arrived.
Why We Need Your Support Now
We refuse to be silenced. While other outlets pull back from reporting on Israel’s genocidal campaign, we’re expanding our investigations. We will never compromise our journalism to appease governments, corporations, or wealthy donors.
This work comes at a cost. We face constant attacks from Israeli officials and coordinated efforts to silence our reporting. We’ve been placed on spam lists, banned by foreign governments, and subjected to campaigns designed to discredit and endanger our journalists.
We’re asking directly and plainly: If you value our unwavering commitment to exposing the truth—especially about Israel’s genocidal war against the Palestinians and the suppression of dissent at home—please support it financially today. Your subscription is not just an investment in journalism; it’s a stand against those who would prefer certain truths remain hidden.
Every day, our reporters on the ground in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria risk their lives to bring you stories you won’t see anywhere else. This work is expensive, dangerous, and more necessary than ever. We keep our journalism free for everyone—no paywall, no corporate backing—which means we depend entirely on readers like you.

The Stakes Couldn’t Be Higher
As institutions fail and authoritarianism rises, independent journalism stands as democracy’s last functioning defense. More mainstream outlets cave to pressure daily, softening their coverage or avoiding this story entirely. Their silence serves those perpetrating violence and makes our work even more critical.
We’re at a crossroads. Without more paid subscribers, we face difficult decisions about our capacity to continue this high-risk work. The forces trying to silence reporting on Gaza are counting on our financial model to fail.
Remember: Only 3% of our readers currently support us with paid subscriptions. If just a small fraction more step up, we can continue and expand this vital work.
