The latest scam from the ruling class is zonal pricing for energy—a scheme designed to fleece the poor while enriching the same corporate parasites who profit from every crisis. The government’s plan? Push up energy bills in certain regions while lowering them in others. According to GB News, “A major shake-up of the energy market could see energy bills rise for millions of households in a bid to boost green energy investment…. Energy Secretary Claire Coutinho is considering plans to introduce ‘zonal pricing,’ which could make energy cheaper in Scotland but significantly more expensive in the South of England.”
Of course, this is rolled out in the usual Green wrapping paper. But the plan has nothing to do emissions—it is about consolidating power while ripping us off. Shutting down cheap, reliable energy while subsidising costly renewables ensures that wealth is funnelled to government allies in the energy sector, all while the average person struggles to afford basic necessities. As for the areas benefiting from lower costs, these aren’t leading the way in renewable energy—they still contain voters who may not wholly dump Labour at the next election. These can’t be called the winners—at best, they will be the non-losers this time round.
The real winners are the same as always: politicians securing their retirement sinecures, green activists gorging on public subsidies, virtue-signalling middle class fools—happy until they see that they will be paying the new bills—hedge fund managers betting on rigged markets. Don’t forget the NGOs and climate consultants making a fortune from churning out endless reports to stoke public panic. In short, those who lecture the public about ‘cutting consumption’ continue to enjoy their private jets and lavish lifestyles.
Net Zero is not about science. It is a fabricated crisis designed to justify mass wealth transfer. Even if there were the ghost of truth in the environmental claims, and there is not, the UK contributes a fraction of global CO₂ emissions, yet its citizens are forced to bear the brunt of green policies that murder industry and leave millions dependent on state handouts.
So, this is not about saving the planet. It is a scam—one that will leave millions colder and poorer, and above all, more powerless while those at the top collect their profits. Welcome to Net Zero: where your suffering is their opportunity.
