ABOUT THIS EVENT
The American Conservative invites you to a virtual conversation with Ted Galen Carpenter on his provocative cover story for our March/April issue. Making use of a comparison between the early years of the American Civil War and the first year of the Russia-Ukraine war, Dr. Carpenter warns against unwarranted optimism on the part of the West. He argues that the structural disadvantages faced by Ukraine, like those of the Confederacy, do not bode well for their long-term success.
