Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, also known as AMLO, has announced that if Venezuela and Nicargua are excluded from the upcoming Americas Summit taking place in Miami he will not attend either. Previous summits outside of the United States have not restricted nations’ participation based on politics, but the U.S. is insisting that these two “pariah” nations be excluded because of their failure to live up to certain democratic ideals (cue laughter).
