The Culture War Is Not A Proxy For Race, It’s A Proxy For Class

I tend to disagree with Ryan’s analysis of this. I’d say the culture war is first and foremost a quasi-religious conflict over existential values.  Class conflict and race conflict are both real, but they appear to be subordinated to the wider existential conflict.

Ryan Grim argues that if Democrats want to win the culture war, they need to shift their focus away from rhetoric and towards material action.
