Nu metal is not real metal, Slayer detanotes Slipknot and if you listen to nu metal. I just kidding, I don’t care what you listen to, as long as it is metal. What Nu Metal is not. XP

But seriously, I agree, current political discourse is a lot like the Trekkies vs. Star Wars fans.
Or, Dallas Cowboys vs. Cleveland Browns. Or whatever stupid team rival each other in the NFL, I don’t watch it. Point being, people always go with an “us vs. them” mentality.
There is some good Nu Metal, Slipknot (Vermillion), Korn, Mushroomhead, Deftones (good clean vocals), but later on other bands got so processed, and it became kind of lame. There’s some lame Traditional metal genres out there too such as Pornogrind. I don’t like any of the big 4 of thrash in traditional heavy metal either. I prefer obscure underground 80’s punk such as KSU, and Schleim keim.(slimy germs) and dark/cold/new wave
