NASCAR truck racer Ray Ciccarelli says he’s quitting after Confederate flag ban

My take on this would be that while I don’t agree with its corporatist and often crony-capitalist economic model, NASCAR is a voluntary organization and can set any standards for participation they wish. They are legitimate is banning the Confederate flag so as not to offend their black fans just as they would be legitimate in banning “God is dead” signs so as not to offend their mostly Christian audience.
