The ACLU and other similar groups are good at defending civil liberties valued by liberals and leftists. There are other groups that defend civil liberties that are valued by conservatives and libertarians. Ideally, an anarchist mass movement would have the defense of ALL civil liberties as its primary domestic issue (as opposed to culture war tribalism and pushing the socialism/capitalism false dichotomy). But that’s probably way too much to expect.
