Yes, but generation M is rich compared to grand pa and grand ma in the 1930’s. Also, most Americans are richer than people in the Victorian era. In fact, most people were poor through out human history. Its just that since the 19th century people want greater and greater wealth instead of being happy living in a rented room in a suburb. This is why also the right has been sold a bill of goods on Donald Trump. He might bring back the factory jobs but companies will no longer be required to pay overtime. Trump is following the advice of Steve Bannon that only believes in rising wages by limiting immigration which works somewhat if you lived in New York or California which have high levels of immigration which drive down wages, but not in the US south which has a lot less immigration.
