Business Owner In N.Y. Fined $60,000 For Selling “Gun Shaped” Lighter

From the files of “stupid things Democrat-controlled cities do” comes the story of a Times Square, New York City tourist gift shop that got fined $60,000 for selling a cigarette lighter shaped like a tiny pistol.

The city swooped down on shop owner Fred Shayes, 49, for selling a tiny lighter shaped like a pistol saying that it was “too realistic” and that selling gun-shaped, realistic toys or novelties was against the law.
