What is the deal with the “Soft Secession” trend unfolding in America?

Dr Rick Becker of the “War, Divorce or Federalism” podcast does an excellent job here unpacking the deeper issues behind this unfolding phenomenon of “soft secession” which has arisen from the Democrat-dominated states in America. He dissects the narratives and arguments being used as part of this campaign and lays out what are the truly good developments and what is likely just wishful thinking.

Is Decentralization now the only means of survival in America?

In another great episode, Dr Rick Becker of “War, Divorce, or Federalism” brings aboard one of the co-hosts of the Ron Paul Liberty Report, Chris Rossini, for a wide-ranging discussion. Here they discuss America’s deteriorating financial situation, the negative effects of the tariffs when paired with no reduction in taxes and regulations, the dangers of government involving itself in cryptocurrency, and the pros and cons of the forthcoming split which is unfolding within America.

Desperate totalitarians throw out incredibly wild accusations against New Hampshire Liberty activists

NHexit Podcast: Eric Brakey, Free State Project and Secession

In a quite entertaining episode of the NHexit podcast, Russell Kanning welcomes Free State Project Executive Director Eric Brakey for a discussion on wild accusations thrown against the Free State Project and NHexit activists by totalitarian transplants who are trying to turn the Granite State into a tyranny. They also discuss ongoing grassroots efforts for liberty in the Granite State as well as Brakey’s views on New Hampshire seceding from the DC Union. (Note: Mr. Kanning and Mr. Brakey have both been guests previously on “From Steal to Secession AM”)

Alberta Rally shows steadily growing support for Independence

“Alberta Independence rally draws thousands — The largest in Alberta independence history” – By Jon Kruzeniski

A huge rally was held on October 25, 2025 in Edmonton, Alberta on the steps of the Alberta legislature. Thousands of supporters of Alberta Independence gathered to make their voices heard in favor of Alberta separating from Canada and gave a clear visual sign of the support growing in the province for Alberta seceding from Canada. There are serious questions which persist about the leadership of the organization which is de-facto leading the charge for Alberta separation and about their ties to the Trump administration in DC, but the obvious growth of the independence sentiment in Alberta is a very encouraging sign for the future.

Texas begins purge of non-citizens from their voting rolls as the spectre of the forthcoming TEXIT referendum draws ever nearer.

“Texas Uncovers Thousands of Illegal Immigrants on Voter Rolls” – By The Texian Partisan

One of the key aspects to ensuring the success of a TEXIT referendum which would begin the negotiation process of Texas separating from the DC Union is to ensure that only Texas citizens are allowed to vote in determining the will of the people on the matter. Texas has taken a huge step towards achieving that goal recently by beginning the process of removing non-citizens from their voting rolls. Can they root out the problem well enough to restore confidence in the Texas electoral processes?
