Part 1
How is the Woke Left a Cult?
Here’s one way. There is a very NARROW set of accepted opinions allowed on the modern left. Multiple studies show this to be true (and remember, science requires transparency and repeatable results, not censorship or blind faith in “authority”). These leftist opinions are received opinions – meaning they are acquired and expected of you instead of opinions you did the work to form on your own. Any slight deviation from these opinions and you are considered by the left to be an outsider.

Here’s a diagram from one recent study, which you can read here. See all those tightly clustered blue opinions? That’s the borg leftist cult. Their opinions are almost all the same and are strictly controlled with cult tactics. See that much broader data set of red opinions on the right? That’s all the differences of opinion we on the “right” get to have with one another about a whole range of topics like abortion, war, gay marriage, the economy, religion, and culture (and these are just SOME examples).
One way the modern left controls thought within their cult is through social (and sometimes professional and government) enforcement of speech codes. Orwell wrote a lot about how in order to control people, one must first control their thought, and in order to control their thought, one must first control their language.
The Woke Left engages in social enforcement of their neologisms *which were created to corral thought* and when they can get away with it, they force this control of language in the workplace, schools and other institutions. Some examples of Woke Cult language include: birthing person, mansplaining, white fragility, white privilege, male privilege, cis-, undocumented American, unhoused, toxic masculinity and their cult adherence to announcing their “pronouns.” They also attempt to destroy the accepted definition of words and control thought through enforcement of their new and inaccurate definitions. They have attempted to control the range of acceptable thought through redefining words like: woman, racism, sexism, harm and violence.
Another way the Woke Left enforces a strict adherence to their very narrow set of cult beliefs is through social conditioning that encourages their adherents to isolate themselves from friends and family who are not in the cult. The longer people are in the Woke Left cult, the more they are encouraged to cut ties with any friends and family who don’t join. I know many of you have experienced this painful estrangement with sons, daughters, grandchildren, mothers, fathers, siblings. It is meant not only to isolate them only among fellow woke cultists for greater indoctrination and radicalization, but it is also a tool used to punish and condition family and friends in an attempt to spread their cult doctrine. Threats generally amount to something along the lines of: either vote the way I do, stop being a conservative or classical liberal and come join my ideology or I’ll cut you out of my life.
Depending on how hostile your friend or family member is to civil discussion and disagreement, you may not be able to even talk to them about what is happening to them. Showing them a study like this one may not be the best approach, depending on how far along they are in their indoctrination. If it’s near the beginning though, or if you are still able to maintain healthy dialogue with them, you might try sending a study like this without any commentary or opinions of your own, and just telling them this study surprised you and you wonder what they make of it? Ask them questions designed to provoke thought and then LISTEN to them (and let them know you’re listening by responding to what they are saying, not just waiting for them to stop in order to say your piece). Some examples of questions you could ask:
-Hey this is interesting! What do you make of it?
-I read this today and it surprised me. Why do you think this is?
-Why would liberals be less accepting of a diverse range of thought and opinions? I’m trying to figure it out.
-I read this study and wondered if you think it’s accurate. Do you and your friends have a lot of differences in political opinion from one another? Or do you guys generally agree on everything?
Etc. But in your own words of course. <3
