Israel’s aid blockade and starvation of Palestinians is causing a global uproar. Doctors warn that Israel’s blockade has done irreversible damage to children suffering from malnutrition.¹

Israel allowed a small amount of aid to reach Gazans in response to growing calls for an end to the blockade, but at the same time Israel killed 62 Palestinians on Sunday, including 34 people seeking food and water.² Days earlier, Israel used U.S.-made weapons to bomb a Gazan school during Friday prayers.³

If our lawmakers don’t push for a wholesale change in U.S. policy towards Israel and Gaza, over 1 million Palestinians could die from starvation, all while Israel continues to threaten all of Gaza with airstrikes.

The head of the United Nations said that the “last lifelines” are collapsing in Gaza as Israel’s blockade causes mass starvation. Israel, with the full backing of the U.S., continues to block the United Nations from delivering food to Gazans — even as the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) has three months worth of food for every Gazan in warehouses just outside Gaza’s border.⁵

How can our lawmakers continue to back Netanyahu’s regime as it starves children?

Congress and the White House have supplied an endless stream of funding and weapons to Israel. The U.S. has sent tens of billions of dollars of weapons to Israel since its war on Gaza began. Israel’s relentless violence against Palestinians will only end if America ends its support for what Amnesty International and UN experts have called a genocide.
