Avoiding the Herd

THE political social and economic activities of virtually everyone – regardless of their actual beliefs and affiliations – is being wantonly misdirected. Those worried about mass immigration join single-issue pressure groups such as Britain First or the English Defence League; people who care about green issues get involved with environmental bodies such the World Wildlife Fund or, in the worst cases, Extinction Rebellion; those who wish to stop racism and who oppose the perceived threat of totalitarianism join ‘anti-fascist’ movements that sadly end up mirroring the actions of their rivals; individuals wishing to bring an end to global conflict march alongside the Stop the War Coalition or Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament; justifiable anger over low wages and poor working conditions leads others to become part of the collaborationist European Confederation of Independent Trade Unions; while the most uninformed and brainwashed of all think they are taking a stand against one political party by voting for another every four or five years.

The same holds true for charities such as Shelter and Help the Homeless, who think they can keep people off the streets at a time of widespread alcoholism and drug addiction; Macmillan Cancer Support or the Childhood Cancer Parents Alliance who, by throwing money at scientists and medical facilities, inevitably treat the effects rather than the cause; and efforts to deal with poverty by Oxfam and Action Against Hunger, who merely end up helping to sweep the true nature of modern society under the carpet.

Whilst there are a lot of well-meaning people on all sides of the political fence, as well as in society as a whole, this is a classic case of divide and rule and there is only one long-term solution to matters such as these and it is the complete destruction of the Capitalist system and its repressive infrastructure. This will not lead to the eradication of all such problems indefinitely, of course, but it is a question of containing the actual scale by removing the biggest threat of all.

Do not waste time beating around the bush, there can be no half-measures when it comes to the very thing that is destroying the lives of millions of innocent people all over the world. You can either beg politicians, bankers and corporations to change their ways, cap in hand, or you can help to overthrow the financial stranglehold that kills, maims and infects its subjects once and for all. After all, why enter one of the System’s organisational sheep-pens when you can begin the process that will lead us to pastures new?
