Ex-Treasury DG Mogajane and the alleged VBS bribe

Convicted fraudster and former VBS chair Tshifhiwa Matodzi claimed he paid former Treasury Director-General Dondo Mogajane R1m via a non-profit company. Mogajane denied receiving any bribe, but new information confirms his links to the Mkhize sisters, who controlled the non-profit company.

🇨🇱⚒️ Workers have gone on strike at the world’s largest copper mine. BHP’s Escondida mine in Chile descended into strike action after profit-share negotiations fell apart.
🇯🇵❌ Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida will step down as the ruling party’s leader in September. Media reports suggest that Kishida is pulling back amid political scandals and increasing prices.
📱♊ Google has new ways to hurt your bank balance. This time, the Pixel 9 phone range, unveiled in California. Starting from $799 and featuring Gemini AI integration, Pixel preorders begin this week. Whether this included South Africa was not clear.
