Do 80% of transgender kids grow out of gender dysphoria? Do 80-90% of trans people desist? Here, we look at the Desistance Myth using an informed understanding of Gender Dysphoria and its diagnostic criteria in the DSM 5, the defunct diagnosis of Gender Identity Disorder from the DSM 4, and recent research from reputable medical institutions.
