Dad confronts young son’s bully with kindness after learning the boy is homeless
|
|
|
| When Aubrey Fontenot’s son Jordan opened up to him about being bullied at school, like every concerned parent, he was determined to put an end to it. The Houston dad took the matter to school officials, alerting them about the older boy who was tormenting his 8-year-old. “My son gets daily progress reports and it seemed like the two always had issues. The bullying thing was ongoing,” Fontenot, a local tattoo artist, told the Houston Chronicle. “I asked my son about it and he told me the boy was messing with him and was too rough. I told [the school] that stuff like this can be a lot for a kid and we didn’t know what my son was going through. They said they would take care of it.” |
| However, another incident involving the same boy took place not long after, this time resulting in Jordan’s phone disappearing. Upset, Fontenot found himself back in the school’s office, speaking to the principal and a police officer about the disappearance. During his conversation with them, he discovered that the bully — an 11-year-old boy named Tamarion — was actually in need of help. “They insinuated he was homeless. I was like ‘Oh ok I didn’t realize that, wow that makes a lot of sense,'” Fontenot told Good Morning America. |
| Fontenot spoke with Tamarion’s mother, who confirmed that the family had fallen on hard times and was indeed homeless. “I decided I wanted to talk to the boy myself, and his mom gave me permission,” he revealed. When Fontenot spoke to Tamarion, the youngster admitted that he was actually jealous of Jordan — because he had clean clothes. “He said he was getting made fun of by the other kids. They said his shoes were cheap and his clothes were dirty,” Fontenot said. The following week, he took Tamarion shopping to buy him some new clothes. |

K-9 makes her team ‘proud’ by helping locate a missing 12-year-old boy in biting cold

| The department of police plays a crucial role in maintaining peace in society. They dedicate their time and skills to solving cases as soon as possible. However, many times, the limelight is only on the police officers and it leaves out a major chunk of people working behind the scenes. But that’s not the case with K-9s or police dogs. They get appreciation every time they prove their skills. CBS News reported that a brave furry hero rescued a 12-year-old boy who went missing. After the child had been missing for over 2 hours, a K-9 was deployed from the Auburn Police Department to help track the boy. However, her intellect and astute actions did more than just help. In the freezing temperature and biting cold, the search was challenging, but K-9 Biza persisted, nevertheless. The police followed the dog, who was shrewdly chasing the boy’s scent for over 2 miles, till she led the team to the missing boy. |
| “The child was reunited with their family and is safe,” Auburn police said. “We are proud of the hard work put in by K9 Biza and are happy to report a positive outcome,” they added. The department shared a post on Facebook to celebrate the furry hero and share more about her valor. “On Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at approximately 10:30 PM, the Auburn Police Department learned that a 12-year-old child left their home at approximately 8:30 PM. The child was last seen in the Pakachoag Hill area of Auburn and their whereabouts were currently unknown,” the post read. The post further mentioned how the weather made conditions worse and required all the possible help to find the little boy before things got worse. |

| “Due to the freezing temperatures and nature of the incident, numerous Auburn Police Officers and Troopers from the Massachusetts State Police converged on the area in an attempt to locate the child. Detectives from the Auburn Police Department and Detective Bureau responded to assist as well,” the post read. That’s when the hero came into the picture. “Officer Ljunggren and his K9 partner Biza were deployed. K-9 Biza was able to pick up a scent and began to track the scent. K-9 Biza tracked for a length of over two miles and led Officers to an area where evidence showed that the child had been present a short time earlier. Officers converged on this area and located the child a short time later.” |

Toddler’s adorable reaction to her father dancing for her is just cuteness overload
|

|
| Toddlers are bundles of joy who always keep their parents on their toes. The little ones are always exploring something new and expect constant entertainment around them. So, parents resort to various means like getting them new toys, letting them have screen time or sometimes, becoming the source of entertainment themselves. To show how parents’ participation impacts the tiny tots, Brittany Larsen-True (@britt_true_) shared an adorable video capturing a wholesome father-daughter moment on Instagram. With nearly 6500 views, the video not only shows the little one’s cute reaction but also shares a powerful message that every parent needs to understand. |
| Larsen-True, a baker and mom to a one-year-old, is popular on Instagram for the delightful glimpses she gives of her loving family. Recently, she caught her husband dancing to the tunes of “Come and Get Your Love,” a song by the American rock band “Redbone.” The cutest part was the dad was dancing in front of his daughter and the little one couldn’t hold her excitement in. Sitting on a recliner couch with a pacifier in her mouth, the chirpy one-year-old wiggled her body to the groovy music and was smiling and giggling looking at her dad’s comical dance. The whole time her dad was dancing, the toddler couldn’t take her eyes off of him and seemed quite amused. |
| The text overlay on the video had a strong and much-needed message on parenting that said, “Your child doesn’t even need toys or TV. They need a good dad who plays with them.” Larsen-True also wrote about this beautiful bonding moment in the caption saying, “He’ll do anything to make his princess happy. Ladies find the man who will be a good daddy.” In a world where babies are distracted by toys or stimulating colorful videos, this mom and dad showed what a child truly needs. Reacting to the video, @amandarichardson.25 wrote, “This is the cutest relationship ever.” @kailani675 commented, “Oh my gosh. It’s the little wiggle with the bink for me.” @alicee.yvette exclaimed, “Omg! Her vibe. Wow, adorable!!” |
