Electoralism/Democratism

Why Does No One Trust No Labels?

A Trump-Biden rematch doesn’t exactly thrill anyone. But what if there were an alternative to Donald Trump and Joe Biden? Perhaps a pre-MAGA Republican and a non-ancient Democrat who could appeal to the sane center? That is the pitch from No Labels, which plans to run an independent ticket for president next year. No Labels says it can win, but Democrats say all it will really do is peel away Biden voters and hand the election to Trump. “The idea that we, like, actually want to get Trump elected is a joke,” a co-founder tells David Freedlander. Is that good enough for their critics?
