A few years ago an Irish newspaper published a report that suggested 70% of asylum seekers or refugees suffer from a mental health illness. The article was related to refugees in Northern Ireland but there would be no difference to those in the Republic. That is a lot of potentially violent incidents when you take the high number of asylum seekers in Ireland.
