Contra Kyle, I would argue the Republicans are a right-wing plutocratic party like most of the right-wing parties in Latin America (e.g. El Salvador’s ARENA) and not a fascist party per se. They primarily represent Sunbelt capital along with sectors of the petite bourgeoisie and, of course, the military-industrial complex. They’re also a radical Zionist and pro-Wahhabist party. Imagine a fusion of ARENA and Israel’s Likud Party, and you’ve got the Republicans. The Democrats are the party of the ruling class on a more general level (traditional northeastern establishment, big media, Wall Street, the PMC, Hollywood, Silicon Valley, the noveau riche, etc.).
