It would seem Russia and Iran are becoming closer politically and ultimately this will help lay the groundwork for the consolidation of the various organisations like the Shangai Cooperation Organisation, the Eurasian Economic Union, etc. that will eventually integrate the region, European Union style, but with much greater respect between the members.
