• Six auto factories across Michigan and Canada are closing or partially closing
• Toyota will reportedly stop production at all three of its Ontario plants – two in Cambridge, one in Woodstock – due to the blockade of the Canada-US bridge  
• Meanwhile DHS is warning that a similar convoy could disrupt Super Bowl 
• Ambassador Bridge, the busiest international land border crossing, which links Canada and the US in Detroit, was blocked on Wednesday for a third day
• Justin Trudeau, the Canadian prime minister, tweeted on Wednesday evening that the blockades were harming the nation and ‘impeding trade’ 
• The truck drivers say they will continue their blockades until Trudeau rescinds the vaccine mandate – although the US still won’t let unvaccinated foreigners in 

A former CIA analyst-turned-Democrat lawmaker called the ‘Freedom Convoy’ protests in Canada ‘effective’ on Wednesday — so effective that she’s warning similar demonstrations could break out in the United States.

Michigan Rep. Elissa Slotkin also urged Prime Minister Justin Trudeau‘s government to ‘say “uncle”‘ and come to an agreement with the truck drivers who have been blocking traffic and honking their horns in protest of Canada’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate for a week.

She’s concerned about the economic ramifications the protests are having, Slotkin told the Detroit News, after at least six auto factories across Michigan and Canada are forced to partially shut while the truckers and their rigs continue to block key border crossings.
