Joe is within the Rockefeller Democrat tradition, i.e. a representative of the northeastern banking establishment. That’s light-years removed from “communism.”
Nowadays, a lot of FOXtards are comparing Biden to Jimmy Carter, which isn’t entirely inaccurate, as Carter was also a David Rockefeller protege.
During the “Communism” era, there were differences of opinion among the capitalist class concerning how to respond to Communism. The super-capitalists like the Rockefellers preferred to buy them off, and take advantage of the opportunity to do business in countries with state-guaranteed monopolies without having to compete in a domestic market (see Antony Sutton).
“Right-wing anti-communism” tended to appeal more to the petite bourgeoisie (the Marjorie Taylor Green types), and lower to medium strata of the capitalist class (for example, the founder of the John Birch Society was a candy manufacturer), along with religious traditionalists, cultural conservatives, and, in other countries, feudalists.
It’s also become fashionable on the left to compare today’s Republicans to the Birchers, and the hardcore “base” may be comparable, but the real controlling interests in the GOP are still the conservative wing of the plutocracy, corporate Republicans, right-wing Zionists, oil oligarchs, like the Kochs, Saudi-connected interests, and, of course, defense contractors and war profiteers. The quasi-Bircher types are more on the lower to medium level within the party and are not representative of the party’s elite or Republican voters generally.
