Coyotes will kill foxes that move into their area which had been claimed by piss. Natives would mark trees with their tribal symbols marking claims to hunting lands. Heck, I even had a cat stenching up my door so I trapped him with tuna and pepper sprayed his ass. Seems natural to me!
