The Democraps had their meltdown moment in 2016. Now the Repugnicans get their turn.
What was most interesting about the recent election is that the two ruling class parties and their house media managed to convince millions of Americans that a contest between what amounts to two moderate Republicans was somehow an Eastern front shown between communism and fascism. I view the Red/Blue tribal civil war the same way most Americans view the Shia/Sunni conflict. To adherents of either faith, it’s a big deal, but for everyone else, it’s a matter of “my mufti can kick your ayatollah’s ass.” And I view the conflicts between marginal political groups (Alt-Right/Lite, Antifa, Proudboys, Three Percenters, An-Coms, SJWs, etc) the same way most people would view conflict between Moonies, Hare Krishnas, Scientologists, Mormons, Jehovah’s Witnesses, and snake-handlers, i.e. a rivalry between different teams of weirdos whose ideas don’t make any sense most of the time.
