Krystal’s commentary in this is pretty “radical” for a mainstream social democrat. She’s nowhere near where I am but this isn’t bad. Though she takes the standard “less money for police, more for social services” line, similar to the “less money for war, more for whatever” line many mainstream antiwar people take, as if the welfare state, police state, corporate state, and warfare state are not interrelated. Saager’s counterpoint is good as well.
